KKPPC Club Activity for November, 2025 - Issue 6 | Hello Folks,
Our “professional feedback session” in which members can submit photos for critique by an outside professional, is scheduled for Thursday, 11/6.
- You can send in any photo. It could be your “best photos ever taken,” a photo you are thinking of entering in a competition, an experimental technique you are trying out, a new genre of photography you are trying out, whatever you’d like.
- Our “judge” will be Chuck Pine of the Park West Camera Club in Manhattan.
- Photo Preparation: submit JPEGs, 1-2 MB, sRGB color space. Assistance available.
- Submit 3-4 photos for feedback. (Actual number will depend on how many members participate.)
Keep an eye out on the website and Facebook pages for impromptu local photo shoots organized by various members. We’ll try to get the word out by email as well.
All feedback is welcome!

| | Our 2025 Library Exhibit
Bring your photos to our annual exhibition on the walls of the Kings Park Library, during the month of December 2025. All members are encouraged to participate. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to make our presence known in the Kings Park Community. Let's all get out and show the community our work!
On Monday, 11/10 I will hold a workshop in the Community Room from 6:30 until 8:30pm, to show you how to prepare their images for exhibition. Setup of images will be on Saturday, 11/29 between 2:00 - 4:30pm.
Please contact me by Friday, October 31st, at alanarlene@optonline.net if you plan to display your photos at the library, so I can plan the wall space.
Now is the time to peruse your library for between 2-6 images you would like to present. There is no subject limitation, and no size limit, except that images larger than 8” x 11” limit the number displayed.
| | Monthly Photo Shares
Photo Shares are Zoom meetings in which members submit any two photos they want, for discussion and critique by the other attending members.
In October we discussed the pros and cons of posed portraits versus candid shots, particularly of children. We also commented on the use of depth of field, black & white versus color, foreground interest, and other topics. | November Photo Share will be held on Monday, November 17th at 7pm. All members are invited to participate.
