KKPPC Club Activity for January, 2026 - Issue 8 | | Hello Folks,
Our next photo club meeting will be Thursday, January 15, 2026, 7 PM at the KP Library Basement Conference Room. This will start the 14th year of the club!
The agenda will include a brief business meeting, including information on a vote to change some club Policies and Guidelines, as well as an invitation to provide any feedback you feel the club may benefit from.
We will also have “The Great Photo Gear Giveaway,” which will be a raffle-type affair with a chance to win a complete Panasonic Lumex bridge camera outfit, two higher quality tripods, and a bunch of other photo related-gear. Additionally, there will be over two boxes of photo books available for those who are looking to improve their photographic skills and knowledge.
All club members will be eligible to win the bridge camera set-up and the two tripods, whether you can make the meeting or not. (You may opt-out if you are not interested in this gear.) The rest of the gear and the books will be available to those who attend the meeting. I’ll have some more details for you before the meeting, such as the raffle ticket distribution and the opt-out process.
A big thank-you to Marie for donating the equipment and books as part of her upcoming move to Florida. Marie, we wish you all the best in your move and permanent relocation to Florida!

| Monthly Photo Shares
Photo Shares are Zoom meetings in which members submit any two photos they want, for discussion and critique by the other attending members.
Some of the topics discussed in the December Zoom were: using exposure compensation to make sections of a photo brighter or darker, employing interesting foregrounds, and using lighting or points of interest to raise the bar on travel shots. Photos from the December Photo Share appear below.
