Contests

We conduct a monthly Theme Contest, in which members show off their photographic skill and imagination by entering two photos illustrating a given theme.

Some themes are broad in scope (Natural Light, Nature, In Motion) while others call for interpretation (Solitude, Something Sweet, Taken From Above, Calm).

Members vote for their choice of photo, voting is anonymous, and people can't vote for their own entries.  Winning photos are featured on the website.

The Theme Contest is not very serious; it is intended to get people shooting every month, since the photo entries have to be taken during the month preceding the voting). We have fun! and at least half our membership participates.
