Our photo shoots are pretty informal.  Sometimes a member will post on the Facebook page “Hey, I’m going down to the Bluff this evening. Anyone want to join me?”  Other photo shoots are somewhat more formal in that they appear on our website calendar with information about time and where to meet.  In the absence of a Photo Shoot Chairperson, several members have stepped up to lead photo shoots, and they have been quite successful.  We also have been looking to incorporate some social time after the photo shoot in a nearby cafe, coffee shop or the like.  Photo shoot locations are of course dependent on the weather. 

• This past February we went to the Wang Center on the Stony Brook campus
• In March we were indoors at the Hicks Flower Show.
• In April one of our members led a trip to the L.I. Aquarium in Riverhead.
• As the weather improved this year, there was a trip to the graffiti section of Bushwick, Brooklyn. 
• Other outdoor locations for past photo shoots have included Blydenburgh Park and Caleb Smith Park in Smithtown, Sunken Meadow, the grounds of the Nassau Museum of Art, Jones Beach, an Ice Festival in Port Jefferson, and even a Shinnecock Pow-Wow on the East End.
